Ram 1500

Considering the impressive abilities that the Ram 1500 is capable of, you'll want to make sure that you're keeping it in great shape and getting it serviced regularly. One of the ways that you can stay ahead of any vehicle issue and make sure that the truck is in great shape is by following the Ram 1500 maintenance schedule closely.

At Matt Blatt Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, we're here to provide drivers in Philadelphia, Center City, South Jersey, and Delaware County with the necessary details so they can learn when to schedule service, as well as what types of service will keep their vehicle in great shape over the years.

Ram 1500 Maintenance Intervals

The maintenance schedule is a simple list of services that you'll need to have performed over the years. Each service interval correlates with a mileage, so when this mileage appears on your odometer, you'll want to schedule your visit with your Ram dealership. Luckily, a lot of these features get repeated, so staying on track isn't too hard.

Ram 1500 Scheduled Maintenance

  • 8,000 MilesĀ- This specific mileage is reserved for your oil change, so when you add this mileage to your odometer, or your check engine light comes on, you'll want to schedule service.Ram 1500 Maintenance Schedule
  • 20,000 Miles- When you hit 20,000 miles, there's a few important services that your Ram 1500 will need, including an inspection of your suspension system, tie rod ends, and brake linings, and you'll need to replace your cabin air filter.
  • 30,000 Miles- There's a few important services that you'll need at 30,000 miles, including an inspection of your CV/Universal joints, front and rear axle surfaces, and your transfer case fluid. At this point, you'll want to have your engine air filter replaced.
  • 60,000 Miles- If you tow a lot with your Ram 1500, this is the interval which you'll want to have your automatic transmission fluid replaced, as well as the fluid filter.
  • 100,000 Miles- This is a big service interval because on top of some of the previously listed serviced that you'll need performed, there's a few big ones to add to the list. This interval adds a spark plug replacement. You'll also want to inspect your PCV valve and have it replaced if necessary.
  • 150,000 Mile- At this particular interval, on top of all the services you'll need to have performed, you'll want to have your engine coolant flushed and replaced.
