Our 2011 Durango just racked up another award. This time the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) has given our newly redesigned Crossover/SUV a "Top Safety Pick". The IIHS looks at how the vehicle performs in front, side, rollover and rear crash tests along with how well its electronic stability control systems work in preventing such accidents. All of the IIHS evaluations are conducted at its Vehicle Research Center in Virginia. Our new Durango might be refined on the outside and inside but it's the safety that we build into our vehicles that really makes the difference in how it protects you. We have 45 safety and security features including a standard Electronic Stability Control that can help get out of a dicey situation.  The Durango also shares this award with its Avenger, Charger and Journey siblings - sort of a family affair!

 
During the recent SRT media event at Willow Springs Raceway, our own Ralph Gilles was giving thrill rides in the hot new 470 horsepower 6.4L HEMI® powered 2012 Charger SRT8. A few adventure seekers from the automotive press stepped forward and rode shotgun while Ralph did some high-speed runs while letting it all hang out with some tire smoking drifting maneuvers. George Notaras from MotoMan stepped up to the plate and was able to trap Ralph and get some insights in the newly reenergized SRT brand. As Ralph puts it "Our mission at SRT is not just have people fall in love with the cars, but also with the overall community."  - Ah yes, spoken like a true enthusiast!

As we pass the halfway point of Summer, things are heating up at Dodge. Recently the folks at MSNBC.com came out with their ten most improved cars for 2011 and our new Durango and Journey were on the list. The editors recognized our newly redesigned interiors that are refined and comfortable. They also acknowledged our award winning fuel efficient 3.6L Pentastar V6 engine that makes more power and gets better gas mileage than?
